At VUE Pictures, our mission goes beyond just taking photos—we aim to transform each young swimmer’s journey into an epic, unforgettable story. While these athletes may not yet have perfect form or Olympic-level action, their hard work is just as worthy of celebration. Our job is to capture their performance and moments in a way that elevates their story. We focus on creating impactful, polished visuals that turn every swimmer’s effort into a memorable, high-quality piece of art—whether in prints, posters, or custom products. It’s about helping parents celebrate their swimmer’s growth and progress, no matter where they are on their journey.

Our Business Model

We shoot exclusively by reservation, focusing on a limited number of swimmers to ensure personalized, high-quality coverage.

By working with pre-booked athletes only, we’re able to deliver:

Capturing Every Angle

📸 Action Photographer

This role requires a photographer who is nimble and agile, with the ability to move quickly and shoot from low angles to capture dynamic, intimate moments at floor level.

  • Fast, accurate, and consistent
  • Comfortable working fast-paced, limited-movement environments
  • Strong technical skills (focus, timing, exposure under challenging lighting)

📷 Candid Photographer

The candid photographer position demands even greater agility and intuition. You’ll need to move seamlessly through crowds and between swimmers, capturing those fleeting, special moments that truly tell a swimmer’s story. Quick thinking and the ability to adapt your camera angles and lens on the fly are key.

  • Great eye for emotional moments and storytelling
  • Subtle, patient, and creative
  • Ideal for those with editorial or photojournalism experience

📷 Gear Requirements

Camera Body:

  • Full-frame sensor
  • Capable of shooting RAW at 10+ frames per second
  • Clean image quality up to ISO 25,600

Lenses:

  • General-purpose zoom (e.g., 24–70mm, 24–105mm) with f/2.8 or f/4 aperture
  • Fast medium telephoto (e.g., 70–200mm f/2.8, 35–150mm f/2–2.8)
  • Long telephoto (e.g., 300mm, 100–400mm, 200–600mm) — optional but strongly preferred

Other Essentials:

  • Minimum of three batteries and multiple high-speed memory cards
  • Rain cover or weather protection for gear
  • Knee pads
  • Non-slip footwear
